Asus ZenFone Max 2016 launched in India priced at Rs 9,999; packs 5000mAh battery


Taiwanese company Asus India has launched the Asus ZenFone Max 2016, a beefed-up variant of the ZenFone Max smartphone in India - prices start at Rs 9,999. While the 2GB RAM variant is on sale now (pre-order) on Flipart, Snapdeal and Amazon.

While the 2GB RAM variant is on sale now (pre-order) on Flipart, Snapdeal and Amazon. The higher version will be made available ‘soon’. The ‘old’ model is on sale alongside the new versions, but it is priced lower by Rs 1,000.
As per the configuration, Asus ZenFone Max 2016 is a dual-SIM device, and is being offered at 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM, with the former priced at Rs 9,999 and the latter at Rs 12,999. The smartphone comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, which has been measured at 1.5GHz.
The ZenFone Max 2016 smartphone now runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and also packs 32GB of inbuilt storage. As far as colour is concerned, the smartphone is available in black, orange and blue options.


ZenFone Max 2016 smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery, but it cannot be removed. It has 914.4 hours of standby time or 37.5 hours of 3G talk time or 32.5 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing. It can serve as a power bank for other devices.
Asus ZenFone Max 2016 display is 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS TFT.
The smartphone has a 13-megapixel f/2.0-aperture rear camera with dual LED flash; front camera is 5-megapixel f/2.0-aperture. Asus Zenfone Max is available in black, orange and blue colour variants. It has a textured leather pattern at the back and metal-like edges. Asus Zenfone Max runs Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 on top of company’s ZenUI. –
The smartphone supports 4G LTE, GSM, GPRS,GPS, aGPS, Bluetooth V 4.0, WiFi and micro USB.
