ICC approve BIG Three reforms

SINGAPORE: The ICC has approved proposals for a revamp plan at an important meeting in Singapore after South Africa ditched Pakistan and Sri Lanka to vote in favour of the big three.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka are now left alone in their protest against handing the major share of the annual revenue and administrative powers to the big three.

The new executive committee of the ICC will be functional from July in the current fiscal year with India’s Shri Navasan as its chairman.

The ICC president Alan Isaac said “There were 8 full members who were in a position to support the resolution today and the two who abstained have pledged to further discuss the issue with an aim to reaching unanimous approval over the coming weeks.”
