When Prince William hit the area of Santa Barbara today for a charity polo match, he will be accompanied by polo players at least two ties to the Coachella Valley.
Santiago Trotz, a professional gambler who spends his winters to perfect his skills to the Empire and Eldorado polo clubs in Indio, is the captain of the Royal Salute.

The Duke of Cambridge plays in The Challenge Foundation Polo at Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club.
The decision is part of William and Catherine his wife three-day trip in the region. The royal couple arrived in Los Angeles on Friday.

Also playing on the team is Royal Salute Glen Holden Jr., son of Glen Holden Sr., one of about 18 shareholders at Eldorado Polo Club in Indio.
