Lil Boosie Indicted for Trying to Smuggle Codeine into Prison

Incarcerated rapper Lil Boosie, which is already in jail facing murder charges, was formally charged Thursday for attempting to smuggle drugs into prison for the second time!

The latter charge stems from an incident in May, when Torrence "Lil Boosie" Hatch and two other inmates tried to sneak into codeine Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola. The 28 year old Baton rouge rapper is already indicted on a charge of conspiracy to bring illegal drugs into another state prison (the Dixon Correctional Institute in Jackson).

Boosie and two other men, Titus and Franklin Arthur Stewart, both 27, were all charged with one count of conspiracy to take contraband to and from a penal institution.

Boosie, currently serving a prison sentence of 4 years for drugs and weapons possession, was accused of inciting a crime on an individual basis, while other guys were each charged with one count of possession with intend to distribute a controlled substance dangerous.

On top of the remaining two years, it serves an unrelated drug charge, Boosie could get another 4 years because of his latest charges.

Lil Boosie has been serving time behind bars since 2009 after pleading guilty to a charge of third offense marijuana possession. He was indicted on a charge of first degree murder in June 2010 for the murder of 35 October 2009 by Terry Boyd.

Prosecutors allege that Hatch has hired someone to kill Boyd, who hired "Hitman" (which was only 16 at the time) is also in charge of first degree murder in the death of Boyd, along with five other murders. On a separate matter, Boosie is accused of paying even the teenager to kill Christopher "NUSSIE" Jackson.

With record Boosie growing each month ... it does not look like it will be out of jail anytime soon.
