Thousands support Baba Ramdev as he fasts against corruption


Baba Ramdev started his indefinite fast against corruption and blackmoney in New Delhi on Saturday morning after the government failed to persuade him to cancel his protest. The yoga guru started the event with thousands of supporters at the Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi, he was joined by Swami Sadhavi Ritambhara and other religious leaders of the Sikh, Jain and Muslim communities.


Before you start fasting, Ramdev held a session of yoga and 'bhajan' in which he told the gathering that the event was intended to save the country from corruption and ensure that the poor get a good life.

"Nothing is impossible, anything is possible and we will not be defeated," the saffron clad Baba seated on a raised platform, told the gathering, referring to reduce black money stashed in tax havens abroad.
