Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge visited the Irish Guards on Saturday, Medal for service in Afghanistan and speaking personally with wounded soldiers and their families.
William is the unit of Colonel in Chief, and the presentation of medals was his first official event as such.
The ceremony was held at Victoria Barracks, near Windsor Castle.
Kate presented medals to 60 operating guards who served in Afghanistan, also speaks with members of the family of three soldiers who lost their lives.
The royal couple spoke individually with each Guardsman and guardswoman they met.
