Minecraft and EVE Online Hit by Hackers

The wave of pirate attacks on video game companies continues today. Hacker LulzSec group, which disappeared after Nintendo, Bethesda, and Sony (though not in a capacity-game), among others, claiming responsibility for more attacks on EVE Online, Minecraft and gaming site The Escapist.

EVE Online is currently down, as announced on Twitter. He'll be back "as soon as possible after an investigation of certain issues." Later a tweet by EVE Online reads, "EVE Online and related services has been a leading Internet. We have taken as a security measure." According to the Twitter account LulzSec, the target of hackers is to take down the connection to the gaming server and in the process, he accidentally knocked the official site down.

The server connection Minecraft was also targeted with the site temporarily become inaccessible in the process. (The site is new as of this writing.) The Escapist was the first of three objectives for today's games, the site remains offline.

LulzSec attacks were not confined exclusively to the gaming industry - today, he briefly took the site of SSII Finfish and on weekends she missed part of the site of the U.S. Senate. It is also attacked government websites in other countries. The Pentagon said last month that cyber attacks could be considered an act of war, although it is unlikely that such attacks would be deemed such a particular thing.
