Sukhoi fighter crashes in Russia


A Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker fighter-bomber crashed Wednesday near the city of Vladivostok in the Russian Far East during a training output. The plane fell on the village Solovei Klyuch, but nobody was injured in the field, RIA Novosti quoted a spokesman for the Eastern District military.

The pilot ejected shortly before the plane crashed, the spokesman said.
"The driver is in satisfactory condition, he said.

A special commission was established to investigate the cause of the accident and its members are currently working on the crash site.

Preliminary findings of the accident was caused by technical failure.
