'Mallett 6' script waiting to be written

We'll see what Ryan Mallett is all about.

No adjustment would have provided a truer test than New England, where the coach directs an iron fist and the quarterback delivers a perfect model for a young forward.

Team after team saw the name on the board of Mallett and project to ignore. Sixty-three peaks were made, including four by the New England Patriots, before finally added much quart analysts have called the most NFL-ready quarterback in this year's class.

"When I received this call," said Mallett, "it was a great feeling just knowing that someone wanted me."

Humiliation Mallett could not cut as deep as what Tom Brady said 11 years ago, when the future Hall of Famer squirms through a series of five, more rejection.

The memories of that day recently Brady cry. The anger and bitterness and appreciation for the support of his parents bubbled over in an interview for "Brady 6," an ESPN documentary on the quarter before it.

Maybe "Mallett 6" is already playing on a loop in the head of the recruit.

If not, then you can imagine Brady constant reminders whispering in the ear of Mallett to be taken to prove all the doubters wrong and show the world that is better than Cam Newton and Jake Locker and Blaine Gabbert and Christian Ponder and Andy Dalton and Colin Kaepernick.
