Yemeni forces open fire on protesters



Sana'a, Yemen: Yemeni Witnesses say security forces opened fire on demonstrators taking part in protests throughout Yemen that seems to be the largest turnout in months of unrest to demand regime change.

In the southern port city of Aden, witnesses say security forces fired on demonstrators trying to break down pictures of President Ali Abdullah Saleh. Six protesters were injured, one seriously, said one doctor.

Many demonstrators said that their turnout of hundreds of thousands on Friday to tell their leader 32 years, that they reject his latest compromise proposal, and you want it to go.

Saleh proposed a new constitution guaranteeing the independence of the legislature and the judiciary on Wednesday night.

Thousands of women also participated in a demonstration in the capital of a conservative Yemen, Sana'a.
